The Bike Crank is a static cycling blog operated by Justin Ball. The current site does not provide visitor accounts, login forms, or a comment submission system.

Hosting and external content

The site and ride photos are delivered through Cloudflare. Requests to hosting providers include technical information such as an IP address, browser information, and the requested URL. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for information about its handling of data.

Pages load fonts from Google and may load images, videos, or other embedded content from external providers. Those providers receive requests from your browser and may use cookies or other tracking according to their own policies. External links, including Strava links, take you to services with their own privacy practices.

Affiliate links

Some shopping links go through AvantLink or other affiliate services before reaching a retailer. Following these links may allow the affiliate service and retailer to record a referral and use cookies or similar technology to attribute a purchase. Advertising

Merchant banners on this site are affiliate links. Clicking one takes you through AvantLink to the retailer, as described above. The new banners use no advertising scripts, tracking pixels, or third-party image requests. Google AdSense is not enabled.

Your choices

You can control cookies and site permissions in your browser and choose whether to follow affiliate links or load external content. Blocking third-party requests may prevent embedded content from appearing.
