The year was 2008 Lance Armstrong was back racing the Tour de France. Trek was the team bike. I had been lusting after a Time (which I eventually bought) but when Trek announced the Madone 6.9 I couldn’t resist. It was handmade in Waterloo Wisconsin. I fell in love with the lines and the paint job.
