When legs, heart and lungs are all in sync and the bike perfectly tuned, the euphoric hum of the road leaves you with a sensation of flying over the asphalt. I like those days. Today was not one of them. Every, “shut up legs,” was met with an equally powerful, not family friendly response from my quads. I gave up on pushing at all and

Headed to Bear Lake to spend some time on the paddle board today. Gotta warm up the legs a bit to be ready to fight the wind. In preparation, the wind tried to kill me while riding my bike. The ride – Paradise The bike – Time VRS Fluidity
Got a visit from some furry friends. They were just chillin’ in the road. The ride – Paradise The bike – Time VRS Fluidity
So many closed roads but as far as I can tell there was no reason to not pass through. Bikes fit through much smaller spaces than cars. The ride – Paradise The bike – Time VRS Fluidity
I was able to carve out 2 hours from my day for one one of my favorite road bike rides. This is the first time this year for this ride. I was pretty happy to hit and average of 20.9 mph even with a bit of a head wind on the return. The ride – Porcupine Dam The bike – Ibis Ripmo

As long as I get out before 12 the traffic is still light and the teenagers are in school – both lessen the probability of interaction with vehicles. I was time boxed by meetings so I pushed a little and managed a 20.4 MPH average
Right at lunch the sun shone bright, the air was mostly still and for the first time this year I found myself haunting the country and canyon roads of Cache County. There’s something significant about the first ride after a long winter. Sure, I’ve been out in the snow on the fat bike and I love snow biking. Though I’ve been blessed with many first
This is a crank rant. Read at your own peril. <crank> Some days I hate people. Not anyone person, just all people. The thought of interacting with another human is exhausting. I don’t want to listen to anyone’s demands. I don’t want a to do list. I don’t really care to hear anymore about why I’m not the perfect or even decent human in your
