Some days neither heart nor lungs feel like contributing much to the ride. I gave up on any chance at speed and performance early on and instead let my mind wander and observe the stunning beauty of Cache Valley mornings. The ride – Porcupine Dam, Utah The bike – TIME VRS Fluidity
.With Providence Canyon infested by cows and the Ripmo feeling lonesome in the garage we had to find some dirt. We selected Green Canyon. Everyone else in the valley did too. We encountered high way levels of traffic on the climb up. The creek crossings kept us plenty cool and wet and muddy. The ride – Green Canyon The bike – Ripmo
The hurricane force winds at the mouth of Logan Canyon keep the timid from entering. However, once you break through the invisible wall the forest meditation is serene. The ride – Logan River Trail The bike – Bianchi Cavaria
Took a bit of a diversion and rode through Mendon and Wellsville before climbing in Mt Sterling and Meridian road. The ride – Mendon, Wellsville, Mt Sterling and Paradise. The bike – TIME VRS Fluidity
Don’t get me wrong. I love this tree. I really love the trail that leads up to it. I love the cool mountain mornings that provide the perfect atmosphere for the ride. Juniper Jardine is a great way to get high. The ride – Jardine Juniper Trail The bike – Ripmo
My least favorite time of the year for Providence Canyon. Everything is beautiful and lovely up until the day they bring in the cows at which point all vegetation is destroyed. the creek bed is demolished and the trail becomes unavoidably covered in manure. Covering all the Ps this morning. I’m a wimp when it comes to the cold lately and was worried about freezing. Turns out it was a perfect temperature. I need to learn that Apple Weather is filled with lies. When the sun is out it is plenty warm even if my phone tells me the temperature is in the 50s. I ran into an invisible
The water was back in the dry creek beds again today. I and the Ripmo returned home wet and muddy. The snow must still be melting up high. I’ve adjusted my ride a bit to avoid the section of trail that has become a waterfall. Strava doesn’t show it but this was one of my fastest overall all times from leaving my house to returning
Another cold day this week. The afternoon temperature was pretty pleasant for a ride. I would not be found swimming just yet. Logan Canyon remains one of the most beautiful places I have had the pleasure of visiting. The ride – Logan River Trail The bike – Bianchi Cavaria
