I got sucked into a Zwift challenge before remembering how bad the Zwift training programs suck. The theory behind them is good. The execution has problems. No matter what gearing you choose Zwift will adjust your trainer so that you match what it is recommending as closely as possible. If you stop pedaling for any reason it will turn the resistance on the trainer as high as it can possibly go. I had to get off my trainer to adjust the fan. When I tried to start back up it took all my strength and complete body weight just to get the crank to move 1/2 revolution. I think it’s a bug but maybe it’s by design. Either way it makes me not use the Zwift training programs.
