Not a ride but a really beautiful hike in the less traveled portion of Zions National Park. The sign said 5 miles. Strava clocked almost 7. That’s not a big deal unless you are hiking in the Fall and you lose the light early and you realize after you are all the way in that you’ve gone further than you thought and now it’s time
We’re headed out of town for my boy’s Fall break. I had to get in one more ride up Providence Canyon during the perfect weather. I rarely see wildlife in the canyon. Instead, I see it in town while riding to the canyon. Today a group of wild turkeys reminded me that turkeys are really ugly. The ride – Providence Canyon, Utah The bike –
Most of the leafs are on the ground now which makes for a colorful, crunchy carpet. Green was a great time today. The ride – Green Canyon, Utah The bike – Ripmo
Birch is not close to my house and so I almost never ride it. I felt the need to tackle it at least one time this season and today being a Friday and my legs still being week it was the perfect opportunity. It’s not a hard or especially technical ride. I clocked 5 miles top to bottom. Nothing was so strenuous that I couldn’t
I really like Millville Canyon. It is a hard, relentless climb. It’s a killer but it also means you pretty much have the place to yourself. The views are spectacular – especially this time of year. My legs will be complaining for a few days but what a feast for the eyes! The ride – Providence Canyon, Utah The bike – Ripmo
It’s magic carpet season. Enjoy the crispy, crunchy trail rides while you can. The ride – Providence Canyon, Utah The bike – Ripmo
We all rode this trail last night. This morning it was the Bianchi and me enjoying the colors, the rocks and the cold. The drop in morning temperatures means there are fewer people on the trail. The light on the leaves was spectacular. The ride – Paradise, Utah The bike – TIME VRS Fluidity
We burned up the last rays of daylight on the River trail enjoying the waning colors and perfect Fall weather. The ride – Jardine Juniper Trail The bike – Ripmo
With the mountains painted in Autumn leaves I’ve ignored the road bike. I took it out this morning to enjoy the crisp morning air. The ride to Porcupine was perfect and then there were cows in a trailer pooping all over the road. There is no escaping the bovine excrement.
