My Assegais have seen better days so it was time for new ones. I always forget how nice and grippy new tires are. While enjoying Providence Canyon the road crews closed and started chip sealing my path home so I added some distance to the ride on the return. The ride – Providence Canyon, Utah The bike – Ripmo
There’s a new bridge going in in Providence. The current bridge is fine but instead of building new trails or clearing some existing ones the Forrest Service has the need to randomly show up and throw off the flow that a lot of volunteers have perfected over years of hard work. Morning storms pushed me to do a lunch ride. The sweat dripping from my helmet reminded me that early morning summer rides are more pleasant and humidity 100% affects performance. The Forrest Service was hard at work putting in a new bridge and refurbishing the trail. The placement of the new bridge is going to mess up the trail flow but maybe that’s intended. The
I woke up to smoke filled skies and an unhealthy air warning on my phone so I went back to bed. The trails are dry and dusty with the rocks rolling free. I also found myself rolling free and sliding all over the place. Trail conditions dramatically affect the ride experience. I found that I need to use a bit more caution in spots I used to take for granted. The ride – Paradise, Utah The bike – TIME VRS Fluidity
Providence City was giving the road up Providence Canyon a fresh coat of something nasty that is mean to hold down the dust. I didn’t feel like riding through whatever the stuff is so I took the round about route down the Bonneville shoreline trail. Lucky for me the gate right at the mouth of the canyon was closed with multiple padlocks. That added a
I’ve lost count of the number of Egg Beaters I’ve replaced. I noticed my left pedal was making some strange noises on the descent but I assumed it was due to the loose rock flipping up and banging against the Ripmo. I was wrong. I flew off a rock and upon landing the platform detached from the spindle. This was not my first Egg Beater
