Woke my boys up early (ish) to get them to the trail before the sun started to scorch the earth. Everything was going great. It was beautiful. Bren pushed a little too hard and needed a break. Then he didn’t feel good an needed to sit down. Then he puked. The ride – Jardine Juniper Trail The bike – Ripmo
I woke up to smoke filled skies and an unhealthy air warning on my phone so I went back to bed. Then the Ripmo haunted and taunted me in my dreams until I could no longer stand it and I agreed to one lap at the top of Providence. When it was all done the Ripmo and I compromised at 4 laps after consuming 4

An entire cross country running team showed up at Jardine this morning to cheer me on. It was really nice of them. The ride – Jardine Juniper Trail The bike – Ripmo
A morning canopy of clouds cooled the air and produced a few rain drops that struggled to calm the dust. This was just a quick run up Green Canyon to the wilderness boundary. All the creek crossings are dry. The dirt is dry. The dust is dry. Any tears from the heavens would be welcome to help cement the rocks and dust back into the
I was tired and wanted to just stay in bed. Then I remembered that a visual buffet lay just a little bit of time and a few pedal stroke away. Days that start with nature are better days. The ride – Providence, Utah The bike – Bianchi Cavaria
