Someday I’d like to make my way to England and ride around Surrey for real. It’s been a few years since I’ve visited London. We loved the country and the one thing I missed out on was riding in the country side. Until things around the world calm down I’ll have to settle for the virtual experience. With just a few thousand feet between me and the Zwift Tron bike I chose to climb the Alpe du Zwift again. The ride was slow, my legs were not strong and my butt is sore. We spent the holiday weekend in St George and got caught in a huge snowstorm on the way back that shut down the interstate. Close to midnight we managed to flat a tire. Lucky for us there was someone willing to fix it in the middle of the night so we didn’t have to drive home on the spare. We got home around 3am. I

At some point I joined a Wahoo climbing challenge. I finished that today so now I’m entered to win a bike computer and I get some virtual socks. Wahoo. Also, today I crossed 600,000 calories burned. I finished a new route in the Makuri Islands and then rode with the 3R group. All was going well until I got distracted and dropped. My biggest complaint about Zwift is that you can be doing just great and then if you turn away at just the wrong moment you get dropped and once dropped you are screwed. I watched as I was outputing

Started climbing the Alp de Zwift today. My legs are burned up but I usually make it to the top. Today I ran out of time and had to bail. No big loss. I’m hoping to be out on the snow again tomorrow. I didn’t have a lot of time today and but I managed to squeeze in a few moments on Zwift. There are some really great groups to join up with pretty much any time of the day.
