It’s -15F outside so I’m back on the trainer. I finished Stage 7 with burned up legs and a two speed bike when rear derailleur gave out leaving me with just the front two rings. I felt like I was holding my own until I hit the hills and lost position grinding away in a high gear. I’ll count it as a good training day.
Having neglected the great outdoors right outside my door for the past month I could no longer continue in my wayward course and ignore the Beargrease. We spent and afternoon playing in perfectly groomed snow thanks to the volunteer groomers who leave waffles for us all to enjoy. The timing was perfect as a new storm dumped another foot of sugary, white powder on us

In the latest Tour de Zwift you can’t start late which is fair. It is a bit of a challenge for those of us who don’t handle schedules very well. To compensate, I started the ride and then let my avatar chill whilst the world whooshed by and in the real world I finished all the logistical items that consume the days of my life.

Missed the A ride but jumped on the trainer just in time to grab the B ride. After an evening of night skiing last night I was intending to do a chill ride. That doesn’t happen in large group rides as riders from around the world virtually jockey for position. After burning up my legs I spent some time chilling in Watopia to loosen up
Just barely made it into the stage 5 ride. Having to ride a specific time is hard for us slackers that don’t like to live by the clock. New York is probably my least favorite world to ride in.
