Get Off My Trail
Turns out enough frost on the ground makes it pretty slick. Still I can’t complain that I’m still on the Ripmo and December 3rd. Pretty sure the Beargrease has been my main steed this time most years. There’s a bit of slip sliding, for some reason the Assegais are sucking up everything on the trail and throwing it into a pile right above my rear

Some days don’t turn out the way you think it will. With blue skies and nice temperatures on a November day I thought I’d do my typical ride – 4 loops and a couple of hours. I wasn’t alone in taking advantage of the weather and trail conditions. I had a great time catching up with friends while catching my breath. The mountains really are
I need to buy lights. The time change means it now gets dark at 5pm. Still real dirt and mud and cold make for a great way to spend the waning moments of the day. There was a bit of grease here and there but overall a bit of time on a real bike in real dirt made me feel like a real boy again.
It’s November in Northern Utah. That means it could be 30 degrees with feet of snow or sunshiney and a balmy 65 degrees. It’s the first one right now and I’m adding an extra ten pounds in gear to keep me from freezing to death. The ride – Providence Canyon
The Ripmo chews threw mud and grit. It also spits it back into your face leaving both rider and bike covered in a gritty paste. It’s a great way to relieve stress and literally connect with nature on this National Stress Awareness day. Also, it’s getting cold. The ride – Providence Canyon
Sunshine filled days have been rare this October so when they roll around I am compelled to visit the mountains. The air grows ever colder but the trails are as sweet as ever. The ride – Providence Canyon
With a hint of chill the Ripmo and I rode into Providence Canyon to breathe in the waining smells of the fallen colors of Autumn. The beauty of the trees littered the ground forming a bright yellow road perfect for a few hours away from the desk. The ride – Providence Canyon
Rain is coming and I missed a lap yesterday. Today I couldn’t bear to part with the mountain and so the Ripmo and I ran an extra lap. Carpe Diem and all that. I might not be able to walk tomorrow but the Ripmo is always ready for one more. The ride – Providence Canyon
