The Ripmo has been sitting idle since our quick trip to Yellowstone. An idle Ripmo is a grouchy Ripmo and so in spite of the blazing sun we went out for a reconciliation ride. We were mostly good except for my burning quads which were unable to drive the bike to its full potential. On our second loop a wasp caught a ride on the downhill. It must not have enjoyed the speed, the jumping or the bumpiness because it thanked my by biting me 4 or 5 times on the stomach. Some gratitude. I washed the Ripmo with my sweat and bathed it in trail dust. It was properly filthy by ride end and received a well-earned proper shower upon our return home.
