If a human took a dump in the middle of a trail people would be disgusted, and there’s a good chance there’s some legal consequences for the individual.
If your dog poops on the trail it’s a courtesy and in a lot of instances a requirement to clean it up. Also, there’s no poop fairly. Don’t leave the bags of dog crap all over the trail.
If you are an equestrian aficionado your preferred mode of transport is allowed to leave excrement anywhere, anytime and usually all over the place. I’m not anti-horse and I’m totally in favor of public lands remaining open to public use. Livestock spread weed seeds with built in fertilizer. They contaminate streams. Why aren’t livestock owners required to clean up after themselves?
