Evening ride with my wife and sons. The ride – Logan River Trail The bike – Ibis Ripmo
I tried pushing it just a bit today and managed to score a PR on the upper suffer circles. At the top of the trail there was a youth group with bikes, helmets, bags and people spread everywhere. I know that crowded trails can become a problem but I love to see people get out into the outdoors. I think it makes us all better.

A crazy day of meetings and general work meant I didn’t ride until evening. I can’t complain the temperature was in the 70s and even though the trail was a bit busier than if you hit in in the early hours there wasn’t a terrible amount of congestion. Took and evening ride with Devin. We had a great time. He was climbing hard. We got to the top and his front tire was totally deflated. The sealant had dried out leaving him with a slow leak. Luckily, another ride lent us a pump. He managed to get half way down but was robbed from the full downhill experience when the front tire finally
With a lot of clouds, a bit of cold and a touch of wind I headed out for a couple of loops in Providence Canyon. If you’re weekend plans involve finding ways to elevate your existence might I recommend your path involved two wheels and all the cardio you can muster. The Ripmo talked me into some serious climbing over serious rocks to serious heights. Even with my drive to the trailhead cheating I burned up my legs and managed to sweet views. Felt good so I kept riding loops. The Ripmo really likes the current trail conditions. Also, while flying down the trails I hit a fairly large bee with my front tooth. That is a strange experience.
