Get Off My Trail
The longest day of the year deserves a long ride – a ride longer than I rode but we do what we can. The ride – Providence Canyon The bike – Ibis Ripmo
Spent some time on the suffer circles in Providence Canyon and then took Devin on the Logan River Trail until the sun set. The ride – Providence Canyon The ride – Logan River Trail The bikes – Ibis Ripmo and Dev on the Ibis Ripley
My brain knew the morning schedule was going to be tight and woke me up plenty early in the morning for me to try to blow up my heart on the suffer circles. It doesn’t happen often but I ran across another guy on a star destroyer grey Ripmo. The ride – Providence Canyon The bike – Ibis Ripmo
Rode a few suffer circles and then took a short jaunt down the shoreline trail. Had a bit of blurred vision and euphoria during the ride that left me less than accurate in the technical bits. I have to get better at getting sleep so my brain functions correctly during the ride. The ride – Providence Canyon The bike – Ibis Ripmo
I tried pushing it just a bit today and managed to score a PR on the upper suffer circles. At the top of the trail there was a youth group with bikes, helmets, bags and people spread everywhere. I know that crowded trails can become a problem but I love to see people get out into the outdoors. I think it makes us all better.
It’s starting to get hot during the day. It rained last night. I decided to seize the moment between rain and getting hot. I ran the usual loops and came across this guy. Always nice to have traveling companion. The ride – Providence Canyon The bike – Ibis Ripmo
A crazy day of meetings and general work meant I didn’t ride until evening. I can’t complain the temperature was in the 70s and even though the trail was a bit busier than if you hit in in the early hours there wasn’t a terrible amount of congestion. With a lot of clouds, a bit of cold and a touch of wind I headed out for a couple of loops in Providence Canyon. I could hear a few drops hitting the leafs around me but I wasn’t getting wet and the trail wasn’t getting muddy. I like those kids of days. On the second round I started to feel the sting of tiny
I had intended to take it easy on the climb but then a kid passed me and my stupid kicked in. My legs were crying but my ego pushed my heart, lungs and legs until satisfaction could be found at the top of the trail. They are all on strike now but the ride was pretty great so I think I might be able to
If you’re weekend plans involve finding ways to elevate your existence might I recommend your path involved two wheels and all the cardio you can muster. The Ripmo talked me into some serious climbing over serious rocks to serious heights. Even with my drive to the trailhead cheating I burned up my legs and managed to sweet views.
