There are days when one is compelled to leave the drudgery of the desk and all the ills it burdens upon our souls to seek the recovery of mind and soul that comes from the rush of wind and hum of tires against the dark asphalt. On this day I rode and the climbed and repeated the pattern as many times as possible before running out of water. One gift of cycling is clarity and perspective beyond the glow of a screen that consumes most hours of my life.
