Last week it rained and then it snowed. Then we all left for St George for a few days which gave the trails time to dry out. With another set of storms headed in today the Ripmo and I braced for a bit of cool air and ran a couple of loops on my favorite trail. The ride – Providence Canyon
Cold, snow, and a limited schedule equal another day on Zwift. I’ve been feeling especially weak lately. I kept telling myself that I was taking a “rest” day but every day can’t be a rest day. Today I was determined to hold onto my power no matter what comes. For the first half I managed to hold on and output the kinds of wattage I
I really wanted to get the fat bike out and head into the hills. However it snowed wit h the trees holding onto their leaves. The carnage was universal with broken branches covering roads and lawns and branches breaking in real time downing power lines with a bright lightning like flash lig ridehting the dark skies. I didn’t want to be the one hearing all
The weather is always wrong (thank goodness) and with no rain in site the Ripmo needed some time out of the barn. I got suited up in my usual mountain bike attire and whilst I was preparing the Ripmo for the journey I realized it might not be raining but there was a definite Fall chill on the air. Not wanting my shiny, shaved legs
Time was not my friend today so between weather and meetings I found myself missing the mountains and building base miles for a better day. The rides – Zwift

The wind from the incoming storm had ripped through some of the Autumn trees coloring the ground and hiding the trail in a dazzling array of yellow and red. The fallen leaves made
The Ripmo demanded we ride before the incoming storms destroyed the peak burn of the Fall colors. Ride we did but not fast. Not fast at all. I spent most of the time taking full advantage of those giant XTR brakes engaging them every 20 feet in awe of the spectacle nature set before me. With the hills ablaze in red, yellow and orange I
The perfect day to ride the perfect trail. The temperature couldn’t have been better. The Ripmo couldn’t have ridden better. The colors couldn’t have been more spectacular. Welcome to the greatest show on earth where the price of admission is the lungs and quads to make the climb. The ride – Jardine Juniper
I am really lucky. I have a wife will will mountain bike with me. During the summer she pulled a tendon in her leg paddle boarding and has been patiently waiting for it to heal enough to get out and ride again. Tonight was that night. I’m pretty stoked she has her Mojo back. The Ride – Logan River Trail
