First ride, first flat, second flat, first rescue of the season

The first ride of the season is always awesome. It’s nice to get outside, breath the clean air, feel the sunshine on your face and the rush of wind past your ears. It’s also the time to discover that you really need to maintain your bike over the winter. I thought I had done all the things but I neglected throwing on new tires. I flatted 5 miles into the ride. I used my spare tube and kept going then flatted again on the return trip. Out of spare tubes I had to call my wife for the first rescue of the season. Lots of firsts today.
