According a calendar my wife has yesterday was ride the wind day. That must mean today was fight the wind day. I and my legs prefer ride the wind day. We were severely punished for missing it. Nothing is more disheartening than pushing 300 watts and going 10 MPH. Instead, we gave up and pushed 150 watts and went 9MPH. The ponies made The ride

Grey skies devoid of rain invited me to ride a little further to the Dam and the end of pavement past Avon. With the sun hidden I got away with sleeping in just a bit without paying for my laziness with buckets of sweat. It was a dam good ride. The ride – Porcupine Dam The bike – Time VRS Fluidity
My muscles are still feeling the effects of their encounter with the dirt. The bruises have changed colors. The soreness isn’t a big deal but it keeps me from really pushing hard as my knees don’t feel awesome. After last night’s leg cramp from hell I didn’t expect much from my body. I didn’t wake up well and the air looked like it had smoked a pack our a million but I lied to myself and said I’d just run the short route out to Paradise and back. The Time had other ideas. After hanging on the wall and watching the Ripmo go

I awoke this morning to hazy skies and brisk mountain air. I find it easiest to decide the night before where I plan on riding to avoid last minute indecision. With all the smoke last night and the barrage of meetings I would face through the day I had told myself that I would make a quick run out to Paradise and back for a
