Morning road bike ride against my nemesis – the Cache Valley wind. My body is still worn out from too many late night rides. There’s something about wind that saps your body of energy and motivation and my legs spent most of the first part of the ride whining about how hard life is these days. My heart just hung out and enjoyed the ride. It’s funny how sometimes your cardio system and muscle systems don’t quite sync and one spends the ride in blissful relaxation while the other system just can’t get it together. I had a small window but still managed almost 39 miles and a 19.5 mph average. I was a bit shocked at that given my slow efforts against the wind.
